Nickels, dimes, Italian leather floor tiles, baby food jars and discarded satellite dishes. All salvaged and re-purposed materials utilized by self- proclaimed ‘Junk Rat,’ Johnny Swing.

The artists’ innate ability to blur lines between elegant sculptural form and function becomes clearly evident in what Swing terms his ‘Obsessive Furniture line.’ Among the works in his arsenal: a couch made of 7,000 welded nickels, chairs crafted from Kennedy half dollars and baby food jars, and a sofa masterfully orchestrated of reclaimed leather floor tiles.

Swing approaches each brilliantly crafted work with a passionate fervor and extreme attention to detail. Swings creations are created to be placed in interior and exterior spaces alike.
